Detroyat Class early TOS era destroyer

An early 1980's fan design by an artist named Michael Morrisette. One of the few fan designs that I like of this era. The design was well thought out, and she looks like she has purpose. Not just another saucer with randomly placed bolt on nacelles, and called a new class of ship. I admire its uniqueness.

I built this model in 2016 for Star trek: Continuum using blueprints from Mr. Morrisette as reference. However I did deviate a little from the original design. I tried to make her "older" (something from around 2230-50 prime timeline). By combining some NX Class coloring, and details. Along with some USS Enterprise first pilot detailing. Plus a little artistic license. She has animated phaser turrets (not seen here) that pop up when the ship is in "red alert".
